Aion Backstory

Dates Unknown

  • Aion is born to a woman from a demon father, one of the few Nephalem to exist
  • Little is known about his mother except she is supernatural in some respect and managed to trick the King of Hell into producing a child with her
  • His father manages to kidnap him as a baby via Earthly agents and opens a gate to Hell dragging his son through before the Angelic Host can stop him
  • The demons that kidnap Aion notice that some form of supernatural power has influenced Aion but they aren’t sure what
  • Aion grows up in a world of violence and bloodshed, forced to submit to his father’s torture in a bid to make him twisted and evil
  • Aion’s only refuge is an Angel, Seraphia, who knows Aion is innocent and visits him and tells him of Earth from time to time to keep him from becoming another twisted demon knowing that should he fall, it could tip the balance of power in his father’s favor
  • Aion learns of the Prophecy that a Nephalem, Half Blooded Demon, is said to be the strongest supernatural force to exist
  • Aion begins to suspect that his father is somehow repressing his power through some means
  • Seraphia finally approaches God and pleads that Aion should be set free and an agent, Castiel, is send to free him
  • Castiel, against the urgings of the other Angels, ventures into Hell to retrieve Aion by the word of God
  • Castiel rips the chains that bind Aion free and offers them to him as a weapon and reminder of his past, imbuing the hell chains with some of his own Heavenly power
  • Skeptical despite the word of God, Castiel leads Aion through Hell and is surprised to see how human he is despite his parentage and upbringing
  • Castiel begins to doubt what he’s learned and begins to consider that humanity deserves more consideration than Angels give them credit for and begins to appreciate the power of the Human spirit
  • Aion’s father intervenes before the two can escape Hell and a massive battle ensues where Aion is knocked unconscious
  • Thousands of demons die at Castiel’s hand but ultimately he is routed and is forced to flee back to Heaven without Aion
  • A few Demons from a rival faction shelter Aion until he recovers from his wounds
  • Aion wages a bitter guerrilla war for souls to combat his father relying on dissident Demons for support
  • Aion establishes a ruthless group of renegade Demons that target contract souls from crossroad demons
  • Other damned souls that have not yet been turned to demons rally to Aion’s side as rumors circulate that a Nephalem may have the power to save their souls
  • Aion is betrayed multiple times, the last of which culminating in a failed attempt on his father’s main cache of souls in which Aion loses the majority of the souls he’s collected (and, by proxy, the majority of his power)
  • Aion is forced to retreat and nurse his wounds with only a fraction of his demonic power remaining
